Renault targets growth in LCV market share

MEDIA RELEASE

19th April 2018

Renault New Zealand is planning a major expansion of its light commercial vehicle (LCV) market share.

The campaign will be structured around a class-leading new warranty programme and an expanding range of vehicles as Renault seeks to replicate its global success in this country.

Part of the biggest automotive brand alliance in the world, Renault has been undisputed leader in light commercials across Europe for 20 years.

Now, the company has introduced a three year, 300,000 km factory warranty across its light commercial vehicle range. All Renault new vehicles from March 2018 are covered by the new warranty.

Renault New Zealand General Manager, Henry Belt, says the new warranty will attract commercial users who look for peace of mind and minimised operating costs throughout the life of their vehicles.

“We are offering business and commercial vehicle operators both the assurance of a long warranty period and the added value of that longer cover. Coupled with long service intervals, this significantly reduces cost of ownership – with the bonus of working with a respected European brand that has a long and proud history of market leadership in the LCV sector,” he said.

The Renault commercial vehicle range runs from the light Kangoo, available as a petrol, diesel or electric versions; through the award-winning medium-size Trafic to the acclaimed  Master in cab-chassis, dual cab and van formats.

The Kangoo has a 15,000 km service interval; all other Renault LCVs offer 30,000 km. The range is available through Renault’s seven member dealer network, which cover other areas using service vehicles.

“As Renault gains a greater share of the market we will be looking to extend the dealer network to directly serve more of New Zealand. It’s a very exciting time for Renault and for our customers,” said Mr Belt.
