 If you're a New Zealand-registered business, you may be eligible to claim:

• An extra 20% tax deduction on the purchase of your brand-new vehicle in the same financial year - depending on your business's tax year-end.
• In addition to standard depreciation, the deduction is calculated as if the vehicle's value were already reduced by 20%.

To take advantage of the Investment Boost:

• • The vehicle must be brand new (not pre-owned).
  • Purchased on or after 22 May 2025.
  • Used primarily for business purposes.
  • Bought by a New Zealand registered business.
