Renault New Zealand COVID-19 Updates

With New Zealand's move to the COVID-19 Protection Framework (traffic light), we wanted to let you know how this impacts the way you shop with us at Renault. 

Red

  • Dealerships open with capacity limits based on 1m distancing
  • Record keeping/scanning in required
  • Face coverings inside the dealership are mandatory

Orange

  • Dealerships open with capacity limits based on 1m distancing
  • Record keeping/scanning in required
  • Face coverings inside the dealership are mandatory

Green

  • Dealerships open as normal
  • Record keeping/scanning in required
  • Face covering encouraged indoors

 

Test drives

At each level of the traffic light system we will be offering test drives. However, if one of the Renault team members goes with you, there are a few precautions that will be taken:

  • Dealership staff member will sit in the back sear
  • Everyone in the vehicle must wear a mask
  • A window should be opened for ventilation
  • Accurate record taking for contact tracing

Other measures to keep you safe

The safety and wellbeing of our customers, staff and community is of our highest priority. We are following the Ministry of Health’s guidelines and have implemented stringent measures to ensure everyone stays safe. These include:

  • PPE: Our teams will use approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on your vehicle. This includes the wearing of gloves and fitment of steering wheel, gear lever and seat covers. The public-facing team in our dealerships will also be wearing face masks in adherence to the newly introduced mask mandate.
  • Contact Tracing: We will digitally collect contact details from all visitors in line with contact tracing guidelines & store that information in a centralised contact register
  • Stricter cleaning and sanitisation: All dealership and vehicle touchpoints will be thoroughly and regularly cleaned, we'll also be keeping cleaning logs of all vehicles repaired, serviced and/or test driven. For services and repairs done on essential workers vehicles, all touchpoints will be cleaned before handing it back. This includes keys, outside door handles, driver’s inside door handle, steering wheel, indicator switch, wiper control switch, gear lever, handbrake, driver’s seat belt and buckle, window control switches and bonnet release cable.
  • Social Distancing: Maintaining social distancing with our dealership teams when they’re at work.
  • Distribute Policies: Clearly documented & distributed policies and guidelines for staff to adhere to. You will also see some of these at our dealerships.
