This web page is provided by Motorcorp Distributors Limited (official distributor of Renault motor vehicles in New Zealand).
The purpose of this page is to assist in the notification of Safety Service Campaigns of Renault vehicles as determined by the distributor and/or the Motor Industry Association incorporated (MIA) and the Land Transport New Zealand (LTNZ).
What is a vehicle safety service campaign?
A vehicle safety is typically performed by a vehicle manufacturer in the event of a component failure (or potentional failure) that may prevent the driver from controlling the vehicle in a safe and proper manner. Such components include, but are not limited to brakes, steering, suspension and vision, e.g. headlamps; and would also include any defect applicable to a Supplementary Restraint System, e.g. airbags.
What is Renault's policy on vehicle Safety Service Campaigns?
In the event that a Renault vehicle must be recalled Motorcorp Holdings will contact the current owners of the vehicles it has imported and advise the owner’s what corrective action is required. For units imported by other parties we will request a list of the current owners from the LTNZ and follow the same procedure as above. Motorcorp Holdings will then monitor the uptake of the repairs via its Dealer Network. Motorcorp Holdings safety service campaign policy is to support parts and labour costs of any new or used Renault vehicle, irrespective of the importing channel (in some instances special conditions may apply to vehicles not imported by Motorcorp Holdings).
