What is Renault 24 Hour Roadside Assistance?
Renault 24 Hour Roadside Assistance is a service provided exclusively to new Renault owners. Here are some examples of how we can help you. If you lock your keys in your car, if you have a flat tyre or flat battery, or if you’ve simply run out of fuel, we’ll get you up and running again at no charge -- AA will even deliver $10.00 worth of fuel, (you will be charged only for the cost of the fuel) free. There are no limits to the number of times you can call us for help.
If your Renault has a problem other than those mentioned above and is immobilised, with your permission we will transport it to the nearest Renault repairer. If the problem occurs more than 100 km from home, and can not be rectified in 24 hours, we’ll arrange and pay for up to 3 nights accommodation. Alternatively, we will arrange and pay for transport for you and your passengers, to either your intended destination or home.
How do I contact Renault Roadside Assistance if I need it?
If you have a problem with your Renault and you need help or assistance, all you have to do is contact the Renault AA assistance helpline. They will require you to quote your individual vehicle ID number as listed on your membership card. This is a free call from anywhere in NZ and the service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
What if I am not the original owner of the vehicle?
If you are not the original vehicle purchaser your Renault is still covered by the three year AA Assist Program and Vehicle Warranty Contract. You should have received a new AA assistance card when you bought your vehicle. If you don't have the card please contact the Renault Dealer you purchased your car from to arrange for the transfer of your details. You will be issued with a new membership card.

AA assist Plus Entitlements
The following schedule outlines the entitlements and benefits you receive as a valued Renault Customer with our tailor made Renault AA Assist programme co-ordinated by the New Zealand Automobile Association.
SERVICE PROVIDED ENTITLEMENT
Roadside Assistance
Renault AA Assist is a 24 hour 7 day service available in the North and South Islands of New Zealand. Freephone 0508 736 285. Call anytime of the day or night and help will be on its way. An AA Service Officer or Contractor will see what the problem is, and where possible affix a temporary repair to enable continuation of your journey or to a place of repair. Your vehicle must be attended when an AA Service Officer or Contractor reaches your vehicle.
Flat Battery
As batteries get older and wear down or the weather gets colder, battery performance can be affected. If your vehicle will not start due to a flat battery AA Assist will come out and either restart your vehicle or fit a new battery at your expense.
Tyre Assistance
Changing of tyres can be difficult, dirty and sometimes just dangerous. Service will be provided to all Renault vehicles in this situation.
Mechanical Advice
With all the AA Service Officers and some of the AA Contractors being fully trained mechanics AA Assist can offer advice as to what the problem may be.
Emergency Fuel
Should your vehicle run out of fuel, AA Assist will deliver free of charge $10 worth of fuel. You will be charged $10 for the cost of the fuel only.
Lock out
Locking the keys in the car is something unexpected and could happen to anyone, anywhere and at anytime. The AA Service Officer in most cases can quickly gain access and get you mobile again. You must have proof of ownership of the vehicle.
Windscreen Assistance
AA Assist operators will refer you quickly and promptly to the nearest reliable repairer. You will be required to pay the repairer directly for all costs, these may be able to be claimed through your motor vehicle insurance company.
Medical Assistance
AA Assist provide 24-hour access to trained medical staff that will advise you by phone. AA Assist can refer you to local dentists, doctors, chemists or hospitals.
Accidents
In the event of an accident, fire or theft of your vehicle AA Operators will assist by putting you in contact with your insurance company or an AA Approved Towing Contractor. NB: Towing costs incurred are at your expense.
Towing
If the AA Service Officer or Contractor can not affix a temporary repair or is unable to rectify your vehicle, arrangements will be made to transport your vehicle to the nearest authorised Renault dealership. Should you be towing a boat, caravan or trailer at the time this will also be transported to the dealership. (Limitations on size do apply. Inter-Island ferry costs are not included, or if the vehicle cannot be driven onboard additional costs my apply). Storage costs are at your expense.
Attempted Repairs
AA Assist may be refused if the AA Service Officer or Contractor reasonably consider on initial inspection a prior attempt has been made to repair your vehicle. Towing in this situation is at your expense.
Accommodation
If you wish to wait with your vehicle whilst it is being repaired, accommodation will be provided for up to 3 nights to a maximum of $120 per night. NB: Meals and personal expenses are not covered.
Hire Car
If you wish to continue with the journey whilst your vehicle is being repaired AA Assist will arrange a rental vehicle for up to 3 days, to a maximum of $120 per day. NB: Fuel and running expenses are not included.
Passenger Transport
If AA Assist is unable to arrange a rental vehicle arrangements will be made to deliver you and any other passengers travelling at the time to your home address in lieu of a rental vehicle. eg: bus/train
Travel Assistance
AA Assist can assist in booking accommodation or making alternative travel arrangements if you are unexpectedly delayed. AA Assist will also advise family members.
Personal Assistance
AA Assist understand from experience that any major breakdown or delay can be stressful, and any help can be invaluable. AA Assist can assist with canceling lost or stolen cards, transferring of urgent messages or transporting replacement clothing.
Bridging Option
You can join the NZAA during the Renault AA Assist period (3 years) and receive 50% discount. When AA Assist ceases full NZAA subscription fees apply.
You can join the NZAA when Renault AA Assist period ceases and only pay the annual subscription fee. No associated joining fee applies
Membership for personal members shall be retained to reserve the rights of 10+ years of membership. |
